Life Source Basics products are safe and well-tolerated. Numerous human and animal studies have been completed with no adverse effects.
Specifically, toxicity studies have demonstrated no toxic effects of food-grade beta glucan up to 100 times the recommended daily supplemental dose in humans. Furthermore, the source of WGP 3-6 is Baker’s yeast, which is Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (21CFR170.30).
Life Source Basics with WGP 3-6 contains the purest food-grade beta glucan available, which is produced using a proprietary process that separates the lipids, proteins and cell membrane from the yeast cell wall (See Figure 1). Exposing the beta 1,3/1,6 glucan fibrils that provide strength and structure to the yeast cell is necessary to achieve biological activity.
